Re: Bite Me Wishfulthinker...I hope your cousin is feeling better. Glad to hear it's not meningitis. I had that when I was 21, so I was going to ask why he hadn't been hospitalized (it's really serious).

they did put him in hospital they took him to see the local doctor but it was shut! so they took him to the next closest one! they gave him a massive shot of pelicilin and from there he was taken to the hospital and they did a lumber puncture but it turned out he didn't have it just a rather sever chest instead thank god!

Re: Bite Me ...my gripe today...well my sister, who's been really sick (and still is from GBS), saw her neurologist and found out she the earliest she'll be back at work is the end of July (previously thought it would be April).
One of the reason's for her really slow recovery is that she was originally misdiagnosed by two neurologists, who basically insinuated she had "hysterical female syndrome"...not a real syndrome, but only something women have to deal with when it comes to the medical profession. Anyways, the almost two weeks between the correct diagnosis was detrimental and caused her to be in ICU for almost a week and hospital over a month.
...to end this on a more positive note, thank heavens for her current neurologist. He's a prince!!!!!
