Graveyard Rodeo Pep was in this band for a couple years before he left for NC.
He played on a couple of demos which later became the basis for the first album, after the band dissolved(which included Wayne 'Doobie' Fabra at this time) the remaining member(s) recruited a new lineup including the future vocalist for Valume Nob
anyway..there are live vids with Pepper if you look extremely fuckin' hard for 'em.
a little history lesson for you i guess.
side note:
Whenever COC plays Louisiana some of his former band members show up to wish him well.

Re: Graveyard Rodeo I really don't know all that much about Graveyard Rodeo. But now that you mention it - I do believe I'm gonna do some searching See if I can come up with those demos/vids that you mentioned
Re: Graveyard Rodeo Those clips were promos from the 2nd album..with an almost entirely different lineup
I'm gonna post a little story about one of their shows..from their drummer Wayne 'Doobie' Fabra(later of Christ Inversion and Necrophagia)
This is a bit of insight on a show by Graveyard Rodeo(with Pepper)that was actually filmed:
quote:
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY FOOTAGE FROM THE OLD BOB'S BARBECUE ERE. OR OLD GRAVEYARD RODEO. NOT THE LION'S CLUB GARY GENERIC !@#$. I MEAN THE TRUE PUNK ERA. ANYTHING WITH PEPPER OR CHRIS SIMMS. CHANNEL 38 FILMED US ON HALLOWEEN OF 86 WITH BRAD AND PEPPER AND CHRIS SIMMS ON VOCALS. PEPPER AND I WERE BEATING UP PEOPLE ALL NIGHT WITH OUR GUITARS AND DRUMSTICKS. THAT WAS A VIOLENT SHOW. IF WE CAN GET THESE PEOPLE TO DELIVER. WE CAN MAKE A KILLER DOCUMENTARY AND FINALLY GIVE OUR CITY THE RESPECT IT DESERVES. NO MATTER WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT PUNK OR HARDCORE ITS ALWAYS. NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, BOSTON ETC. NEVER LOUISIANA. THESE BANDS WERE PHENOMENAL. AND BETTER THAN ANY BAND OUT THERE. AND WOULD EVEN STAND THE TEST OF TIME TO TODAYS MUSIC. WRITE ME AND LET ME KNOW SOMETHING
Note:Bob's Barbecue eventually became Graveyard Rodeo.
..also,if anybody wants to hear some of this stuff..i can upload the 2nd album,it doesn't have Pepper but its good.
It sounds like Valume Nob(it has the same dude singing)
quote:
All I found was a link to some clips on the Nola Underground site.
Graveyard Rodeo
...and thanks for the history lesson, I knew they were a hardcore band, but didn't really know much else.
Those clips were promos from the 2nd album(On The Verge)that had an almost entirely different lineup

Re: Graveyard Rodeo Graveyard Rodeo, "Paradise Lost" (circa 1987):
